What are your fitness goals?- To get fit and feel more active.
- Learn a variety of ways to exercise and feel comfortable doing them by myself.
- Feel confident wearing a swimsuit.
- Lose 50+ pounds!
I wake up everymorning get my daughter ready for School and then workout for a hour with a friend! How you will know you are there? - Wake up in the morning and want to workout.
- Know the names of the exercises I'm doing.
- Keep up with my 2. 4. and 8 yr old and looking good at doing it!
- Loving Life!
How you are working to reach them? I work on Cardio everyday with Strength. It's a half and half of my hour routine! I am working on using what I learned in the Military to help me going. I go workout 5 days a week and 2 days of rest!

| Hi, I'm 27 and my impetus for getting fit was looking at my forearm and not seeing mine, but my mother's. I know I look like my mother and I love her dearly but I know that I can not remain as overweight as I am w/o risk of health problems like diabetes. There is a fitness room near the office of my apartment complex that I've started to use. I like using the treadmill and the weight machine, but was wondering if this site could personalize the exercises to specifically for the weight machine (no Db or Bb). I know that I want to lose weight but have no set goal, I just want my clothes to fit better and to not keep buying a bigger size every time I go shopping. I kick-started my fitness program with an hour on the treadmill and a few min on the weight machine a couple times a week but think that I'm going to scale back to a half-hour on the treadmill (faster and steeper) and more time with the weights. My gut needs to take a hike.

Hi. I have signed up for Girls On Bikes in Methven, New Zealand, for the end of Feb 2011. It is about 35km and being my first cycling race, my goal is just to finish

Hello hello.
I've never really written down my goals, so I'm really writing this down more for me than for you guys.
But anyways. I'm 19 right now and in college. If I said that I was out of shape, most of you would look at me and shake your heads or just get angry. I'm lean. RRRRReally lean. I've played soccer my entire life, and never really got into the nutrition part of it. But now I've read several books on nutrition and weight lifting. I wanna get bigger just for my confidence. I guess you could call it a male ego issue, but I really just wanna add some muscle mass.
I also hope to become a Navy Officer after college, and obviously I would need to be very fit for something like that.
As far as motivations, nearly my entire family is overweight, and my lineage is full of Alzheimer's disease, heart disease, cancer, and various other health issues. I know so much about health that I'm terrified to fall into that sort of trap.
I've gotten very motivated before, but sticking to fitness plans long term has really been my issue. Any words of wisdom are much appreciated, but I hope that I can finally stick with this long term because it's truly what I want.
I'd also love to run an Iron-Man someday
