Do any of you take vitamin / mineral supplements or any of the others on the market? If so which would you recommend? I tried taking glaucosamine for my joints and its worked wonders. As I'm fast approaching 40 and 2 recent babies seem to have trashed my body - I'm constantly pulling muscles just standing up etc I'm after suggestions as to what I can take.I eat very healthily just feel I'm lacking in something... Any advice appreciated. Susan

| I take a multivitamin, Women's One-A-Day. It's helped with my sleep schedule so far, and since I have low iron it's a good source for that.

Personally, I take lots of supplements & herbs, it depends on what your needs & goals are. For my joints I take a Liquid Glucosamine & Chondroitin with MSM made by The Vitamin Shoppe. If you're looking for a fat burning/toning supplement, I use Tonalin. Pycnogenol is an anti-oxidant I take. I feel all these products & many more are helpful to my well-being.
Just let me know what you want help with and I'll offer advice or check with my Nutritionist on.

| ok.. my suggestions.... I take a prenatal vitamin (and no I am not pregnant or breastfeeding...it has all the extras in it that are really good for you and they help with my energy). I have also jumped on the acai berry band wagon... just because I heard it has a few good side effects (and this was before I heard it was suppose to help with weight loss).... I take a vitamin D suppliment because it is good for your metabolism... and a cinnamon/chictron (don't think I spelled that one right) because I have a defeciancy where sugar dont' really metabolize right in my blood... and that it is suppose to help and the cinnamon is suppose to be a good energy booster... I also take a calcium suppliment (at 35 was told had to start) as well as a vitamin b-complex and L-lysin which are for mouth health ( I get a lot of mouth ulcers because I chew the inside of my cheek while I sleep). and occasionally...and only occasionally... I might take one of those green tea energy suppliments, but only when I NEED the extra boost... and I cant do it often because it makes me jittery if I don't burn off the energy....besides that I take my normal medications that aren't OTC.

| I'm a 23 year old male, with two kids. I have little energy and I was wondering if there were any particular supplements that I could/should be using to perk up and burn more calories.

I'm taking MX Women's Multi-vitamins for almost 8 months already. It helps me to fight menopause symptoms, reduce the signs of aging, and offer all of the various health benefits that a woman need to stay healthy and live a long, happy life... Next month, I'm planning to add new health supplement on my lifestyle, the omega 3 fish oil.
