I'm new to the forums here but I have used the log a bit. I have post operative depression that puts me in a funk. Has anyone found a way to beat the lack of motivation so they don't miss a session or workout. Any advice is better than none.
Thanks

Well, I am not a doctor but what I will say is that I just started using this tool again after a year and it really works.  Sometimes when the last thing in the world I want to do is step on the elyptical I just make myself do it.  It's like I say to myself, it is only 30 minutes of your life today.  The first 5 minutes are awful when I am not in the mood, but then it feels good and I usually add an extra 5 or 10 minutes on  to the routine.

Our own minds are the enemy somtimes. I am learning how to control that. By the way, it does work, I have lost 23 pounds from April, 20 to go but I am now motivated and figured out what I need to eat to continue from here.

Don't give up, Like they say in Nike - Just do it~

By the way I am also from Mass, N Shore here!

Thanks for the reply! "Just do it" is the best way of handling it but sometimes its hard.
Thanks again.
