I am new to the site and love it. I know that this will be a great tool in meeting my fitness goals.

I am 28 years old, 5'6 and 230lbs. My goal is to drop 50lbs by September.

Hi, my name is Randy and today was the first day I used the site and it's great! I'm just coming off a two month layoff from weight training from tendonitis in my elbows. During that time I didn't do any cardio (my personal nemesis) and I really packed on the pounds. I'm 6'2" tall, 46yrs old and 269lbs. My goal is to get down to 225 which I would consider an ideal weight. I start looking pretty good around 246 and feeling extraordinary at 235lb but still have a little around the middle even at that weight. Because I'm tall it is deceptive. People think you look great but you are in front of that bathroom mirror alone! My biggest issue is portion control. I derive a lot of comfort from foods when I'm not at my best emotionally which is how I got up to 269 from about 245 in about 2 months! I love hitting the weights but I have to find a way to love cardio because that is what I really need. Today I hit the weights for 45mins and burned 366 calories. In 52mins of cardio I burned 928 calories today which was a real victory for me! It will take me about 5 months to reach my goal.

Glad to hear you guys are enjoying the site as much as me. Good luck with your goals.

Today I weight trained for an hour, did some sparring for an hour and worked on an elliptical machine for 40min.
I had no idea that sparring burned so many calories, in an hour of sparring I burned 1075 cal. I'm definitely going to keep that in my routine.
