ok, here's the jest of it...I'm a 36 yr old female, in my teens I weighed 119..REality I know weigh 241, I am flying back to my hometown in 4 months and based on my goals and excerise it said it could be accomplished by September...I have started working out cardio at the gym (bike, trendmill) and doing some weights/muscle toning. MY goal is to do 2-3 hours a day of exercise...If I watch my calorie intake and workout like this 6 day a week is it really possible to lose a considerable amount of weight?

Nothing wrong with a good old Mid-Life Crisis if it gets you up and motivated toward healthy living.  Many of us have gone through them at one time or another.

Most experts will tell you that the best weight loss rate if you plan on keeping it off is 1-2 lbs per week.  It is very realistic to hit much greater numbers, but it will require a drastic change in lifestyle.  If you use this online tool, and truly workout hard 5-6 days a week, you could very easily lose 50 lbs or more in just a few months.

Anything is possible but working out 2 -3 hours a day and you're not an athlete preparing for an event is insane. First of all your resistance training should not last more than 30 to 45 minutes and you should not be doing "hours" of cardio. Be realistic and focus on changing your lifestyle and not a quick fix 4 month weight loss. I know you may think that 4 months is a short time but ask yourself this question.. Did you gain the weight uounow want to lose in 4 months? I would be surprised if you gained a hundred pounds in four months. So why would you expec to lose it in that time. Now all tha being said you can lose a lot of weight in 4 months if you're truly dedicated I'm simply suggesting that you be realistic and set yourself up for disappointment

Please be careful and listen to your body. The motto "no pain no gain" is not always right. I have plantar fascitis in my left heel due to following that motto. Pain is your body's way of telling you something is wrong. Don't be so focused on losing weight and numbers that you ignore your body and cause irreversible damage.

Good luck to you!
