| Is there an easy way to insert a custom food into the nutritional log? Unlike a custom meal, seems I have to find the food in the directory and then add it. Any easier way?

You can add custom foods to the database via the Personalization -> Foods menu item or by clicking the icon next to the food drop down box in the nutrition log. When you choose the second method the food is automatically populated in the drop down box after you add it.
On subsequent log entries, you will currently need to type in part of the food name and select it from the results displayed in the drop down list. You might try typing in a part of the name that is specific to the food you are looking for.We are investigating alternative methods of searching for foods to make it quicker and easier to log nutrition. Some ideas are to let you select from a a drop down list of recently used foods, a drop down list of custom foods, and the existing food search. We are also considering a more friendly food search from a popup window on the nutrition log. Any other ideas on how to improve this feature are welcome!

| I've had a similar issue. I've added custom foods and they appeaar under the personalization tab, but they do not appear on the drop down box. Therefore, I cannot add them to the daily log unless I add each food each day. help!

Yeah, there are some instances where that can happen because of limititations of how much data is being pulled back via the food search. We are going to re-work this and make it much more usable, it's just a matter of time. For the time being, you can locate your food by typing in more of the name. For example, 'Yogurt - Walmart' doesn't come up for a search on 'yogurt', however if you add the ' - ', you will see it.
