It was brought to my attention that the nutrition log entry page was not allowing entries to be made. This was indeed a bug with the validation of the food combo box that has now been fixed. Please log your nutrition entries and let me know of any other problems you may encounter.

Thanks,

Hi Trevor,

Just in relation to this Bug Trevor I am getting errors on the Custom Nutrition page. When i go to add a custom food type and submit the form (all fields populated with valid whole numbers), i get an ASP.NET error Object instantiation error. (Tried in both Firefox and Mac Safari, though it's definitely server side error so doesn't really matter)

Doing a great job of the site and everything looks great though, i know how hard it is to catch every bug though being a developer myself. Just regarding that custom food form, i noticed it auto converts any decimals to whole integers? Is there a reason for this, as i found it quite annoying trying to enter data off the back of a food label and having all the decimals rounded up and down which wouldn't produce inaccurate results. Just a thought.

Cheers
Phil

Hi... new member here. Tried to add a custom food, and was receiving the same error the 1st poster mentioned. Just wanted to let you know, and great site also!

Thanks for keeping me updated on these issues. I've fixed the problem with adding a custom food from the nutrition log entry page. Regarding the integer values for the nutrient data: all the labels that I looked at before developing this had whole values. Once I had it basically completed I started to see some with decimals. It shouldn't be too difficult to make these fields accept decimal values so I'll put it on the list.

What OS and browser are you running? I'm still getting a few people saying they are having trouble with adding custom exercises and lists, but it all works fine for me. Of course, I don't have a Mac to test with. Also, whenever the app suffers a server error, that information is emailed to me and I'm not seeing much relating to these two issues. Perhaps you can make it happen again and then post the FULL error message here? Thanks for your help and sorry for the bugs!

sorry for the delay...
steps to recreate
1.) Select Custom >> Lists from the drop down
2.) enter a list name and a few items (1 on each line)
3.) Click Save

I have tested this in windows vista with IE 7 and mac OSX with Firefox 2.0

OK, this is finally fixed. Turns out it had nothing to do with browser or OS (which seems obvious since it was a server error). The reason I couldn't replicate the problem was because it only appears when the member does not have any custom lists, exercises, or foods already created. I finally logged into another new account and was able to generate the error. Anyway, each of the custom entities - exercises, lists, and foods - should now be working properly. Thanks for keeping on top of this!
