Is there a way to set a weight loss goal? or a total calorie intact per day? or a strength goal? I would love that and if that was on the homepage that would be great

Also, why not some widgets for blogs or facebook and myspace?

| Hi, and thanks for the suggestions! I definitely want to add goals to the system and showing progress toward the goal on the home page sounds like a good idea. This is on the list so will be available eventually (I've got to take a few weeks and catch up on some project work that pays the bills). About the widgets, do you mean widgets FROM OFL that are posted to other blogs, myspace pages, etc? And if so, what did you have in mind? Perhaps goal progress or other charts, or maybe latest log entries, or similar? Thanks,

About the widgets, exactly. I was thinking a total progress widget, that showed your goals or something...

| Without goals working out and weight loss and training is almost not possible cuase you have nothing to strive for. Adding goals would be very beneficial

The current goals are for specific targets at a specific date, which is good, although, as other have pointed out, it would be useful to have a day to day or week to week way to know if we are on track to reach our goal.
There are other types of goals, thought, that are not supported by the current goal widget. Things like: exercise 3 times a week, or walk 5 miles every day. These "lifestyle" goals are as important as the "reach a target" goals, and it would helpful to be able to track them.

| As a way to check my progress toward a goal (wt. loss, for example) I set a weekly incremental goal that will tell me if I'm on my way or not. This works out t roughly one pound per week. So I just made a goal for each Monday that was 1 pound less than the week before. This is completely "doable" in the current application! And I love the idea of "lifestyle goals" that contain a frequency component like "Strength training __ days per week"!

Kedlyo,
good idea to have smaller progressive goals. Definitely something I can set up (although, it would be nice if they were automatically set up )

Thanks for the great feedback and suggestions! I'll see what I can do to setup 'lifestyle' or maybe 'ongoing' types of goals in addition to a way to show whether or not you are on track for reaching your goal.
